| We
will be running 4WD trips of approximately
3-4 hours, with hard trips up to 5 hours duration. Trips will be rated Touring (Green), Easy (Blue), Medium (Black) and Hard (Red). see TRIP STANDARDS GUIDE for details of trip classifications and requirements for vehicles and drivers. Mandatory: All drivers must have a current valid drivers license. All vehicles participating in trips must have at least Third Party Property Car Insurance and be road registered, in roadworthy and good mechanical condition. All persons taking part in Medium (Black) and Hard (Red) trips must wear enclosed footwear. Locations will include -

This is a really nice trip visiting places like Cooroora Mountain, James McKane Lookout, Mothar Mountain Rock Pools, Wahpunga, Cootharaba Views Lookout, Booreen Point, Lake Cootharaba and Lake McDonald. With names like how could resist. This is a great drive with spectacular views to match the names. |

| Borumba Dam and Beyond | Touring Green (forestry) | Half day |

This trip will take you through the historic township of Imbil and a lovely forestry drive to Borumba Dam. From there you continue on through more of the Amamoor State Forest to the equally historic and pretty township of Kenilworth where a visit to the cheese factory is a must. Here you will be able to taste and buy the locally made cheese and ice-cream before heading back to camp. |

This is a great day out at the beach and is suitable for all vehicles. We head to the Cooloola Way stopping at lookouts along the way. The Cooloola Way is a very scenic drive through forestry and farmlands to Rainbow Beach where you will have time for a short stop to have a look around. We will then drive back along the beach to Freshwater where we will take the car ferry across the Noosa River and back to camp. A great day for all the family. |

This is a drive through bushland and forests in the Amamoor State Forest region. There are some steep climbs and drops, and the tracks have some rough areas which should be easily negotiated by drivers with vehicles with good ground clearance. You will be rewarded with scenic mountain views and forestry drives. |

This is a great drive through pine and natural plantations. Following a challenging hill climb you will be rewarded with a great view over the whole Amamoor State Forest. Next stop is Cookes Knob Fire Tower and then along the northern boundary of the Amamoor State Forest. There will be some long descents and some sharp climbs that will challenge both car and driver. This is a great medium trip for experienced drivers. |

| This a picturesque trip over Mt Gentle Annie that includes creek crossings and some challenging hills. Our travels will take us through logging areas and the higher points of the trip will provide views over local farming areas. This a great trip to test your driving skills | ||
| Mt Kandanga | Medium (Black) | Half day |

This is a trip that will delight both drivers and passengers. As we loop over Mt Kandanga situated close to the scenic town of Imbil you will get great views of the Amamoor State Forest and surrounds. The tracks and climbs will provide interesting challenges for both cars and drivers that everybody will enjoy. A trip not to be missed. |

The Mt Wilwarrel trip starts off with crossing Amamoor Creek (not too deep) before winding through regrowth forest and then on to some good climbs along the northern boundary of Amamoor State Forest. When we reach the top of Mt Wilwarrel there are fantastic views across the Mary Valley. On the way home we pass by the site of the Gympie Country Music Muster. |

| Christmas Challenge | Hard (Red) | Half day |

The Christmas challenge is a trip designed for experienced drivers with well set up vehicles. It is not suitable for standard vehicles as damage may result. It is a picturesque trip with some challenging climbs and descents. It is a great loop with all driving in the Amamoor State forest region. If you like a good challenge then this is the trip for you. |

| A Taste of Fraser | Easy (Blue) | Full day |
We We are now able to offer a trip to FRASER ISLAND on each day of the Gathering, depending on numbers. This will need to be separately booked and paid for. This trip is rated Easy (Blue), see TRIP STANDARDS GUIDE for all trip gradings. FRASER ISLAND Trip details and Booking Instructions Here As the Fraser Island trip will incur extra costs it must be booked separately, Trip sheets for all other trips will be available at the Trip Registration area the day prior to the trip. |
